Updates, Father's Day, and a Picnic!

This past weekend was Father's Day! The kids and I were up early making him breakfast. He was able to sleep in an extra few hours while we made breakfast, I fed the kids, and made him a little card. After breakfast in bed we were able to hang out for a bit, do lunch, then go to Barrie to pick up a few things. It was a really nice day! Here are some of the pictures!

The update on my healthy eating plan...I've lost 10 lbs already! I cheated over the weekend but otherwise I did pretty good. Im really hoping I can stick to it 100% this week. I am on day 8 of the squat challenge and it is just starting to get intense now. I'm pretty motivated to keep at it though. Here is some stuff i've been eating!
 Spaghetti squash with meat sauce.

Yogurt and fruit.

Butternut squash with mango smoothie.

Burger with lettuce, tomato, and cheese.

Also here is a picture of me, a body shot. I want something to look back on for weight changes. This will be my "before" picture. Weighing almost 60 lbs more than I'd like. My first goal is just to get down to a healthy weight.

So that brings us to today. We are just hanging around today. We took our lunch to the park and had a picnic. :) Here are some photos from lunch!

Updates :)

I have been really busy and so I haven't really updated much. So here are the updates!

Ella: She has acquired some distasteful attitude as of late. This includes slamming doors! Hopefully we can figure out what is bothering her so we can help. Other than that she is loving the warmer weather. Always enjoying a bike ride or walks to the park.

Kalan: Kalan has been doing so well. He is still potty learning but rarely has accidents. His vocabulary has grown at an astounding rate. I am so proud of him!

Seven: He is learning SO much so fast! We can hardly believe our little guy is a toddler and no longer a baby! (He will always be my baby though.) He walks 98% of the time now, can make a horse sound, shakes his head yes and no, dances, whistles, says mama and dada, and clicks with his tongue!

AJ: He is on night shift right now at work so he has been so very tired. Poor guy!

Me: I have been working hard on creating Ella's grade 1 curriculum. I have the entire outline done, and the Mathematics course is almost complete. Just need to print off some more worksheets. I hope I can have it finished by the time school starts up again!

Our Family: As some of you know, we were planning on moving to Bracebridge at the end of summer. But there has been a lot of stress surrounding this topic because of the distance and the fact that AJ would only be home on weekends. It would be so hard on the kids. So now we are looking at houses to rent in Alliston where we live now. If we find something, great. If not, we will likely go to Bracebridge. This morning we looked at a house that would be perfect for us! 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, fenced yard, garage, finished basement with an extra room! We will know who the landlords decide on sometime later this week. Praying it will be us!

Some of you may also know that we have been trying to conceive for 7 months now. It has been quite disappointing month after month, so we have decided to take a break for a while. We want to focus on moving, the kids, and losing weight. So that's the plan. But for all of you curious people...yes, we DO want more children! :)

Here are some photos from our walk today!

First Visit to the Cottage in 2013!

One the weekend we decided to make our first trip of the year to the family cottage! We were warned it was supposed to rain on Saturday but we decided to risk it anyways. The kids would have fun no matter what.

It was hot and Sunny the whole drive up Friday evening, until we hit Gravenhurst (20 minutes before getting to the rental house). Once we got there, the sky turned black and it start to pour, I mean, torrential downpours and high winds. By the time we reached the rental house here was thunder and lightening, and the pour was out.

My father-in-law had planned to pick us up in the boat but we had to wait until most of the storm had past. It was well into the evening by the time we finally got settled in at the cottage.

The next day rained on and off but we made sure the kids got some fun in first. Ella was especially brave and went swimming! Kalan was not so lucky and fell off the dock into the freezing water! Luckily Papa was quick and pull him up from under the water. A scary moment for us all.

The rest of the weekend was on and off sunny and storming, but there was still plenty of time in the sun to play! Here are the pictures!

These are the spiders you see regularly at the cottage, Dock Spiders. It is not uncommon to see them as big as your hand!

My brave girl swimming in the lake!

Jake decided he wanted to swim too.

Fetch!

Harvey was not impressed.

Kalan was clapping at the dogs to make them come.

Daddy did some bow and arrow practice and the kids loved finding all the lost arrows!

I love my man, this is hot. :)

Some cuties!

Fishing with Mr. Seven.

Peek-a-boo baby!

Nothing cuter than that!

Seven loves to splash!

And drink the water...

Blowing bubbles!

Sweet smiles :)

3 in the boat, staying afloat...driving through the lake...dum dee dum.
