Kalazen Turns 3!

Kalazen turned three years old May 13th! We had a nice Birthday at home with gifts and lots of playtime. Kalan is such a special part of our lives. He has a huge heart, I adore him!

As some of you know, Kalan has speech delays. Recently we found out he has Sensory Processing Disorder, but does NOT have autism. Since his diagnosis though, he has made HUGE steps of progress. I am incredibly proud of him! He is better able to handle crowds, and his speech has improved at an astounding rate!

When Kalan grows up he wants to "fix beebees heads". This could mean anything from being a loving father, to being a pediatric neurosurgeon. My wish is that he will aim for the moon, because he can do ANYTHING he sets his heart to. And my gosh, I love him to the moon and back.

He is a wonderful little boy who loves life! He has a few special favourites in his life. He adores his sister with all of his heart, and is just beginning to bond with Seven. His favourite movies and shows are Cars, Wreck It Ralph, and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. He loves to play outside at the park, plays with his million cars on his new car mat, jump on the couch cushions, ride on his ride-on car, put make-up on with Ella, watch movies, and newly loves getting DIRTY! His smile is so big it reaches his ears, and his eyes are so intense they can melt your heart.

The past three years have been equally hard, amazing, and intense. I cannot believe it has been so long since our sweet Kalazen was born! I look forward to getting to know him and love him for many more years!

Here are some photos from his Birthday:

Say a little prayer...

My family doesn't really practice any religion. AJ and I don't pray before dinner or talk about religion much with the kids. They know what praying is however, because their grandparents pray before meals with them.

Today I had dinner with the kids on my own since AJ is working the night shift. Before we started eating Ella asked if she could "say grace" (That's how Gramma and Papa phrase it), so I of course said sure! This is her sweet prayer...

"Thank you that I have my Kalan.
And thank you for my Mommy that loves us so much.
And thank you for baby Seven because he is so cute.
And thank you for this wonderful food.
And thank you that I can use a fork everyday.
Thank you for Kalan because he is a butt.
Thank you that I am so pretty.
Thank you for Dad because he's so funny.
Aaaaa-MEN!.....

Oh, and thank you for wonderful flowers.
And thank you because Gramma and Papa read me stories...

AND I WISH KALAN WOULD STOP TALKING!

....And thank you because Papa goes to work.
And thank you because Gramma is so wonderful.
And thank you that Mom gives me special drinks like pop and juice and milk and strawberry milk and chocolate milk.
Thank you because we can play outside.
And I wish my friend Peyton would love to play with me because she won't play with me anymore.

...And it's really too bad that Kalan can't LEAVE ME ALONE! ughhhh KALAN!!!

And I pray that my food will disappear so I don't have to eat it.
And Thank you because I make wonderful pictures.
Amen."
