Last night was one of the scariest nights of my life. I could've lost my son.
Ever since I heard of sweet PatPat passing away this past February at 15 months old, I have been dealing with an obsessive fear of Seven dying in his sleep. I think about it all the time. I check on him constantly and never let him out of my sight.
Every parent usually worries about SIDS, but it has been confined to the first year of life. But baby PatPat was 15 months old. Such a horrific tragedy.
Last night we were all asleep, then suddenly awoke hearing Kalan's screams standing over our bed. We could not figure out what was wrong, assumed a nightmare. But then I went to check Seven and found no movement. No rising and falling of his chest, no air from his lips....nothing.
This was the scariest moment of my life.
I grabbed him and shook him, rubbing his face and arms. He finally awoke. I never would've noticed him if Kalan didn't come up screaming.
We brought him to two hospitals and were told... unless it happens again, they cant do anything. So we are all hoping and praying it never happens again. It sure never phased Seven though! He is such a happy child. I love him so much.
