Introductions: Kalazen

Kalazen Lyric made a big splash into this world and always surprised us. He was born May 13th, his due date, and weighed an even 9 pounds! He was born via VBAC in the hospital. Right away I knew we were in for quite a ride!

Kalan was a colicky baby. Something just wasn't quite right. He always seemed to be sick or in pain. We all had a really hard time. He had his happy moments later on in his infancy and then quickly grew to be a happy toddler.

Once Kalan became a toddler his personality and happiness sky-rocketed! He was so smiley, yet shy. Though if you got to know him closely you would find that he was energetic, giggly, and yet a thinker who liked to know every aspect of how the world worked along with everything in it.

As he has gotten older we have noticed how big of a heart he has. He is so protective of his family, always on the look out to make sure we are all ok. He is the type of person that...when he loves someone or something, he puts every ounce of his heart into it. At the moment he loves cars, trucks, trains, planes, and boats. He also loves to play dress-up with Ella which includes make up, pretty shoes, and getting his hair done. His favourite colours are blue and pink.

Kalan is stubborn, passionate, smart, strong-willed, enthusiastic, pensive, and has a heart exploding with love. I admire him and his kindness. I love being his Mom, through and through. I truly can't wait to see what is in store for him. He will go far.

Introductions: Abrielle

Our firstborn. Our only daughter.

We found out we were having a little girl at 19 weeks pregnant. Originally we had other names picked out. Owen Nikolas if she was a boy, and Megan Neveah is she was a girl. But once we knew, once we saw her on that ultrasound., she name didn't suit her. So instead we chose Abrielle Ada, Ada after her great-great grandmother who turned 105 shortly after Abrielle was born. We decided Abby would be her nickname but knew she had a lot of choices for nicknames down the road if she chose differently.

Our Abrielle was born July 8th, 2008. She was an even 7 pounds. Born by csection for being stubborn and breech! We were instantly in love. We were a perfect little family.

Abrielle was such a fun baby. She was always smiling and on the go. Nothing stopped her from getting where she wanted to be, including constantly playing in the toilet! She loved reading as an infant and knew all the animal sounds by a year old. She just loved being herself!

As a toddler she was equally as fun! She started getting some individuality around age 18 months. She preferred certain outfits, liked pink and purple the best, and was a die-hard Dora and The Wiggles fan. She talked galore...such an interesting trait! She loved babies and was ecstatic when her baby brother arrived.

In her preschool years she started becoming more assertive, sassy, and energetic. She loved singing, dancing, and bouncing off the walls! Everything she loved had something to do with pink or princesses. Her favourite princess being Rapunzel.

Now she is junior kindgarten age. She is 4.5 years old. She has recently decided that instead of going by Abby she would like to be Ella. She is homeschooled and as smart as ever. Sometimes it really blows me away. I love watching her think and come up with such interesting questions for me to answer. She is so curious about the world around her and how it works. She is creative and loves to create art, work on new hair do's and help her brother with make up! She has a big imagination and it is as if magic sparks inside her eyes when she creates a whole new world. Her most frequent worlds she visits are being a mommy of at least 15 children, being Izzy the pirate on board a pirate ship surrounded by crocodiles, and being an explorer in the jungle.

She has a big heart. Enormous even. She has such long beautiful hair and has requested that when it gets long enough she wishes to give it to another little girl that has no hair. She is nurturing and absolutely adores her little brothers and her cousin Avah. She has a stuffy that she has had for 4 years now, a puppy, named Charlie Rose. She really loves that puppy. She is truly an amazing young lady. I really enjoy being her Mom.

Introductions: AJ and I

Aj and I met in the summer of 2006. I was on a camping trip with my cousin and her friends. Friday night was youth with her church and so we all met at the youth pastors home, then drove to Wasaga Beach. That is where I met AJ formally. (I informally met him at the youth pastors house when I helped Katrina hide his very expensive sunglasses, heehee). I was 15, he was 19.

We fell hard and fast for each other. I was his princess and he, my garage band king. We lived 2 hours away from each other and wrote daily emails to each other. We also wrote letters (helloooo Snail mail!) and used MSN as much as we could.

We vowed to be together forever Febuary 10, 2007. From then on we were completely smitten, head over heels, deeply, truly in love. He tied a white ribbon on my finger, and I did the same for him. Our love grew stronger each day.

It wasn't long before we started dreaming of the future, our future, together. We dreamt of marriage, children, growing old together. Soon we had it all planned out and couldn't wait to finally be closer to each other.

We spent as much time together as we could. He would visit weekends and we would go exploring, cuddle and watch movies, and go for long walks. Sometimes I would go to him in Alliston and we would have fun there.

On November 7th, 2007 I found out I was pregnant. I immediately phoned AJ who was on his way to work. We instantly went from being a couple in love, to a family. And that phone call changed our lives forever. He hung up saying, "I love you, BOTH of you." I knew right from then that he would be the best father to our little one growing inside me.

Nearly 7 years later we are still here! We have had immense struggles, heartaches, and hard times...but we are here, and we love each other. It has been the best 6 and a half years of my life! We now are a family of 5! I have a wonderful life. I am so incredibly lucky.

This Blog

I have written blogs many times before, but can never keep up with it. I won't write everyday, maybe not even every week. But I want to write, whenever I get a chance. I want to remember my family and all the details that comes with it.

So in here I will write about my family, my thoughts, research I come across about topics that mean a lot to me, my goals and plans, and my life in general.

This is who I am, who I will be, who I want to be, and who I was. I am ever changing, growing, learning.
