I haven't been blogging because....

My hard drive broke! It has all of my pictures from the last 10 years on it! So anyways, we are trying to see if AJs Dad can take it to a professional-fixer-guy in TO. The last two weeks is a bit of a blur. The main reason I needed my pictures though was because the kids' great-great-Nana passed away. So once I get my pictures back, I will post a blog about her. She is someone I wish everyone could've known. She was an amazing woman.

So this blog post I am wanting to write about this weekend. On Friday, Katrina and her Family took Ella for the weekend! It was her first time away from Kalan since he was born, so it was a big deal! It was a weekend at home with just the boys for me!

Aj worked on Saturday, so Kalan and Seven and I just played around the house. We cuddled and played with cars mostly. Lots of fun for me!

In the morning on Saturday, Gramma and Papa took Kalan to McDonalds for a special treat. Right before they left though, they fed him an apple and two pieces of toast. So at McDonalds he had two ice creams, a muffin, and a breakfast happy meal which included 3 pancakes, chocolate milk, apple slices, and a yogurt. I can not believe how much he ate!

Once AJ came home that afternoon we decided to visit a toy store in Barrie. There were sooooo many toys! I couldn't believe it! That is definitely a great place to find awesome kids toys! The prices weren't spectacular (but I like to shop thrifty). Kalan lined up all the cars from the bins, onto the shelves. And he loved playing with the train table. We ended up getting him a pack of lacing beads in the shapes of cars, trains, planes, and boats. He loves them! He even sleeps with them, heehee.

Today we were able to sleep in a bit (and by that I mean the boys were able to sleep in while I got up and did some cleaning and took a shower). After we got everyone up and dressed we decided to go out for a drive. Kalan was our back seat driver! He told us which ways to turn and when to keep going straight. He was delighted! We ended up nearly driving all the way to Barrie! Then Aj asked him if he wanted to go on an adventure, to which he immediately agreed. Aj then turned the car around and we head to all kinds of lovely back roads, finally ending up in Angus, and then Base Borden.

At the Base, we stopped at a memorial park to check out all the tanks that were set up. Kalan absolutely LOVED this! He ran to each one more excited than seeing the last! This part was my favourite part of the day, so much fun! Seven was just happy to be along for the ride.

We arrived back in Alliston in time for lunch. Kalan wanted McDonalds (surprise, surprise!). After lunch we spent a few hours at home, watching movies, playing on the balcony, and playing video games. Then I forced everyone to agree to a walk. It was absolutely beautiful outside, warmest day of the season so far! We couldn't waste any more time indoors. We walked over to the "new park" and had a blast! I was super bummed that I forgot my camera, but we had lots more fun anyways.

Finally it came time to go home and wait for Ella to return from her weekend away. She finally arrived and her and Katrina told us all about their weekend!

It was such a nice weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved seeing more of the boys and spending quality time with them. I got more cuddles and had more conversations with Klan than ever before. I think he enjoyed the special attention. Aj and I realized we need to spend more one-on-one time with each of our children and really get to know them.

Coming up next (hopefully), a guest post by Katrina!
