Summer Vacation - Part 2

Tuesday July 2. 

Tuesday was rainy and cloudy all day. We spent the day mostly inside relaxing and tidying up. Later on AJ took Ella and Seven for a sea-doo ride while I watched Kalan. He was still too shy to try it. Then AJ had his own ride and did some donuts...then surprised us with quite a splash! Ella loved getting soaked but the boys weren't too impressed. We also fed the seagulls for a bit before retiring back to the cottage for bed.

Wednesday July 3.

Wednesday was hot and sunny. Finally some decent weather! We got up a bit late and then went straight into town. We had visitors coming and needed to grab some groceries and do laundry. After lunch we finally met with my parents and loaded the boat. We got halfway down the river and remembered we forgot some of our groceries in the fridge of the rental house! So we had to turn back and get them. Finally we were off again and arrived at the cottage. 

Once we got to the cottage and I put away the groceries I noticed there was still some of it missing so AJ took the sea-doo back again into town and found them in the car. What a forgetful day! We all went for a swim and then had a yummy dinner made by AJ. He makes amazzzzzing food! After dinner we went for a boat ride and toured some of the lake. We saw crazy mansion cottages and had a very windy ride! Once we got back we relaxerd for a bit before having a campfire and roasting marshmallows for smores. 

After that it was bedtime for the kids. My little sister shared and room with Kalan and Ella and they didnt go to sleep until very very late. My parents and AJ and I had to all stay up until every child was asleep. Seven was as wired as ever so he stayed with us until he finally crashed. We were very very tired the next day!

Thursday July 4.

Thursday was hot and sunny again. There was a tiny bit of rain in the morning but it cleared quickly. My dad spent most of the early morning down by the dock. Its so peaceful down there in the morning. Then we all had a big breakfast, although I didnt coordinate it very well. Haha. 

The kids played on the trampoline, played in the clubhouse, and went swimming all day long. They had so much fun together! We spent the day lying in the sun, swimming, and relaxing. Later we did more sea-doo rides. MY parents watched all the kids so AJ and I could go for a nice long ride. Sea-dooing is one of my favourite parts of the cottage! My parents went kayaking just before lunch and they seemed to have a good time. 

In the afternoon my Dad, Seven, and AJ needed naps so all the girls and Kalan all went down to the dock to hang out for a bit. The girls went swimming, my step-mom and I chatted, and Kalan played with his trucks in the sand. It was a nice afternoon. It wasnt long before we had to take my sister and parents back to the mainland. We said our goodbyes and off they went. On our trip back to the cottage we were stopped by a police boat for a safety check. The kids got a good kick out of that! Ella was chatting it up with the policemen about her awesome princess life jacket! After a day of fun and the kids had gone to bed, AJ and I went for a late night swim. It was a perfect day!
